Recently, the Russian Federation Committee of the World Organization for Preschool Education (Organisation Mondiale pour L’Education Pre-Scolaire) under the auspices of UNESCO held a competition called “Teachers’ Mastery: Puppets are Guardians of Cultural Heritage” within the framework of the festival “Child Ambassadors of the Great World”. Ogulgerek Annageldieva and Makhri Muhammetgulieva, educators of kindergarten No. 13 of Vekilbazar district of Mary region, also participated in it with their Turkmen national dolls.
In accordance with the competition regulations, several dolls decorated with Turkmen national costumes were prepared with the diligence of the kindergarten educators. Dolls in national costumes play a great role in instilling in children a love for the values of the cultural heritage of our people. Thus, teachers who educate the younger generation were awarded the 1st degree diploma of the competition.
