The 12th Global Innovation Summit in Education (WISE), organized by Qatar Foundation, will take place in Qatar on November 24–25.
This year’s theme is “Humanity.io: Putting Human Values at the Heart of Education.” The summit will bring together over 200 leading experts from the fields of education, science, technology, public policy, and social impact. Participants will discuss how, in an era of rapidly advancing artificial intelligence and new technologies, to keep people at the center of educational processes and redesign learning systems without losing their core value—the human dimension.
The work will focus on five key areas: placing human needs at the center of education, implementing innovative learning models, transforming skills in higher education, systemic change in the industry, and linking education to economic opportunity and social resilience.
Speakers announced include author Laila Lalami, renowned technology thinker Mo Gawdat, Nobel laureate in economics Abhijit Banerjee, X Prize CEO Anousheh Ansari, and recognized leaders in education and development Fahad Hamad Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Mariam Jammeh, and Omar Al-Shoghreh. The
summit will also announce the winner of the prestigious 2025 WISE Prize for Education, which recognizes projects that make an outstanding contribution to the development of education worldwide.
This year’s shortlist includes digital educational platforms from Latin America, gaming technologies for learning Braille, AI-powered solutions for teaching mathematics in regions with poor internet access, and literacy programs for refugee children.
WISE CEO Stavros N. Yanuca emphasized that the summit remains a unique global platform where the future of education is shaped at the intersection of technology and human values.
The event’s strategic partners are the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Qatar, Qatar Fund for Development, and Education Above All (EAA). ConocoPhillips and Invest Qatar provide support.
