The Middle East’s largest Natural History Museum has opened in Abu Dhabi, offering an ambitious journey through 13 billion years of Earth and cosmic history with rare fossils, immersive experiences, and major scientific collections.
A majestic family of sauropods greets visitors when the Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum opens its doors, offering a space to engage guests of all ages, according to curators.
The museum covers the history of Earth’s creation, the evolution of life, and the origins of deep space, featuring exceptional exhibits such as “Stan,” one of the best-preserved Tyrannosaurus rex fossils in the world, a touchable moon rock, and even a 25-meter whale skull.
Among the rarest objects is the Murchison meteorite, a 4.5-billion-year-old space rock known for its distinctive odor. The ever-changing program is complemented by rotating exhibits, including the newly discovered herd of Triceratops skeletons.
The museum’s goal is to raise environmental awareness and connect past and future generations through research, programs, and public science initiatives.
