A small boat with a roof covered with solar panels has been developed in Botswana. The unique feature of the small watercraft called “Pangolin Voyager” is that it generates more electricity than it needs.
The boat has 80 solar panels with an area of 200 square meters, providing 22 kW of electricity. Equipped with a battery and an electric motor, the boat has a top speed of 35 kilometers per hour. The excursion boat was designed to closely observe the coast of Africa. The British company “Rad Propulsion” manufactured the boat, which is 35 meters long and 10 meters wide. The excursion boat has features such as luxury rooms and a computer room for tourists to process their photos. The boat, which moves silently at low speed, does not scare away wildlife. This allows tourists to observe wildlife more closely.
