The city of Arkadag has joined the declaration of intent to establish a Smart Cities Climate Forum within the framework of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), adopted on the sidelines of COP29.
According to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkmenistan, the corresponding document was signed by Gulshat Mammedova, hakim of Arkadag city, on January 23, in Ashgabat during the SPECA Economic Forum.
The SPECA Smart Cities Climate Forum aims to promote the concept of smart cities in Central Asian countries and facilitate the achievement of regional climate goals.
The 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) was held in Baku from November 11 to 22, 2024, under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan.
