Following the plenary session of the CIET 2025 the city of Arkadag received an award.
Arkadag was recognized for its implementation of smart infrastructure solutions. The city is considered the country’s first smart city, and its international awards at the World Smart City Expo 2024 reflect progress and sustainable development in urban planning.
The ceremony followed the conference plenary session, opened by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Baimurad Annamamedov. He emphasized the need for sustainable development across all economic sectors and announced that over 40 billion manats are planned for investment in the construction and industrial sectors by 2025.
