The Constitutional Council of the Central African Republic (CAR) announced the final results of the presidential elections held on December 28, 2025, on Monday. Incumbent President Faustin-Archange Touadéra has again won.
Having received 77.90% of the vote, Touadéra will begin a seven-year presidential term, the Constitutional Council announced at an official ceremony in the capital, Bangui.
Former Prime Ministers Anicet-Georges Dologélé and Henri-Marie Dondra were also candidates in the presidential election. They placed second and third, respectively, according to preliminary results published by the country’s electoral body, the National Electoral Commission.
Touadéra, who has been in power since 2016, will begin his third presidential term.
