A delegation consisting of representatives from the Ministries of Education, and Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan, as well as the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, took part in the “International Conference on Youth Employment and Skills Development: Partner Dialogue for an Effective Transition from Education to Employment,”. The youth conference held from September 24-26 in the city of Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, as reported by the education.gov.tm.
The event brought together representatives from government bodies, international organizations, experts, and practitioners from Central Asia, the European Union, and the Western Balkans. The International Conference aimed to discuss pressing issues of youth employment, active labor market measures, and the introduction of innovative solutions to support young professionals.
During the discussions, the Turkmen delegation emphasized the importance of developing vocational education and training, expanding mentorship programs, linking educational planning with real-time labor market analytics, expanding dual education formats, increasing the share of modules delivered in production environments, strengthening teacher training for “green” and digital profiles, and integrating youth into the modern labor market. It was also noted that Turkmenistan pays special attention to training specialists in accordance with the needs of the economy and creating conditions for the self-realization of young professionals.
Participation in the forum continued to strengthen regional cooperation and the exchange of experiences in human capital development and promoting youth employment.
