Today marked the start of the II International Mathematical Olympiad, held for schoolchildren at the specialized comprehensive secondary school No. 131 in Ashgabat. Yesterday, a large group of young mathematicians from various countries around the world and their teachers arrived in our capital for this event. A total of 231 talented schoolchildren from 15 countries, including Russia, China, Iran, Pakistan, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Vietnam, Belarus, Bulgaria, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, the Republic of Turkey, and Turkmenistan, are participating in the Olympiad, along with 49 foreign teachers who accompanied them.
This high-level Olympiad will continue until April 26.
