The International Conference and Exhibition “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Industries of Turkmenistan” (CIET-2025) successfully concluded in the Awaza National Tourist Zone.
The forum became one of the most significant platforms of the year, bringing together representatives of leading global companies, experts, and investors interested in the dynamic growth of the Turkmen economy.
CIET-2025 clearly demonstrated the country’s readiness for large-scale modernization of its production base and active attraction of foreign investment. During the event, strategic agreements and memorandums were signed with partners from Germany, Italy, China, and Russia. These documents provide for the development of the glass and cement industries, the supply of specialized equipment, and the implementation of advanced digital technologies.
Participants placed particular emphasis on sustainable development and decarbonization. Key projects include the construction of the region’s largest combined-cycle power plant with a capacity of 1,574 MW on the Caspian coast, the creation of a Hydrogen Energy Center, and the development of renewable energy sources.
In the educational sphere, initiatives by MUNIG and TSACI to train “new generation engineers” with modern skills in artificial intelligence, digital twins, and cybersecurity were presented.
Among the outstanding examples of successful import substitution, the joint venture “Aýdyň Gijeler” was highlighted, having achieved a 90% localization rate in the production of energy-saving lighting—an indicator of the effectiveness of public-private partnerships.
Following CIET-2025, participants emphasized that the forum provided a powerful impetus for expanding international economic cooperation. It confirmed that the future of industry, construction, chemicals, and energy in Turkmenistan lies in innovation, energy efficiency, and high technology.
