Nasri Asfoura, candidate of the conservative National Party of Honduras, is leading the presidential election in Honduras, with 40.62% of the votes after 34.25% of the ballots have been processed. This was announced by Ana Paola Hall, President of the National Electoral Council of Honduras.
Salvador Nasralla of the center-right Liberal Party is in second place, with 38.78%. Third place goes to Rixi Moncada, candidate of the ruling Freedom and Perestroika Party, with 19.60%.
The presidential election in Honduras is held in a single round, with the winner determined by a majority vote.
