The Neptune drilling rig was successfully relocated from the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan, as reported tca.gov.tm.
This complex marine operation took three days and was carried out thanks to the professionalism of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), part of the AZCON holding.
ASCO’s fleet of tugs, including Govsan, Govsan 2, SOCAR 1, Andoga, Shuvalan and Mardakan, participated in the transportation. These same vessels have already proven their effectiveness in similar projects – for example, in May 2024, they participated in the return of the Saturn drilling rig to Turkmen waters.
Such operations are a clear indication of the sustainable maritime cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan in the field of energy logistics in the Caspian Sea, emphasizing the common efforts to develop regional infrastructure.
