Almaty Region Akim Marat Sultangaziyev met with representatives of Talgar Development Ltd., the company responsible for implementing the Talgar Eco City project. The regional governor presented the region’s potential to investors from the UAE and Kazakhstan, emphasizing that the Almaty region is a major center for agriculture and tourism and demonstrates stable economic growth.
Talgar Development Ltd. representative Haissam Kaddura reported that the project includes the construction of residential neighborhoods, schools, medical facilities, shopping and entertainment facilities, and green public spaces. Particular attention will be paid to environmental friendliness and the use of green technologies. The new city is designed to accommodate 180,000 residents and cover an area of 11.8 million square meters. It is expected to create 36,000 jobs and attract over $14 billion in investment.
