The next parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held on June 7 this year. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan.
“The President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan signed a decree on setting the date for the next elections to the National Assembly (parliament),” the statement said. In accordance with the decree, the elections to the National Assembly are scheduled for June 7.
These elections are of great importance in the political life of Armenia since the country is a parliamentary republic. Therefore, which party wins the majority as a result of the elections will determine not only the composition of the parliament but also the country’s new government and Prime Minister.
