On March 2, in the library named after Magtymguly in Kyiv, a presentation of a collection of poems by Magtymguly Fragi in Ukrainian entitled «Маґтимґули Пираґи. Одкровення» was held within the framework of the project «Ukraine-Turkmenistan: Mutual Cultural Enrichment».
The event was attended by poets and writers, teachers, representatives and students of general education, music schools and creative art associations, students, and the Turkmen diaspora.
During the presentation, it was emphasized that the contribution of Ukrainian cultural figures who translated and researched the creative heritage of Magtymguly and the poet’s life path and philosophical views is highly valued in Turkmenistan. Some of these figures – Pavel Movchan and Nikolai Vaskiv—were awarded the Turkmenistan medal «For the 300th Anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi» in the anniversary year.
It was noted that the collection of poems by Magtymguly, translated into Ukrainian, reflects that cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the peoples of the two countries is being enriched with new meaning.
