The third day of the exhibition “Turkmen Textile EXPO – 2025” in Ashgabat opened with a series of master classes and presentations from leading designers and fashion experts.

Among the speakers sharing their valuable experience and knowledge are Aidarkhan Kaliev (Taraz, Kazakhstan), Omar Mansur (London, Great Britain), Govher Pirkuliyeva Gouvernet (France – Turkmenistan), Elena Khoritonova (Brussels, Belgium) and Hang Ng (Singapore).
Presentations and discussions covered a wide range of relevant industry topics: from neo-folklore and sustainable development to marketing in sustainable fashion, national identity in an international context, as well as new materials and technologies. In addition, issues of cross-cultural exchange and the role of fashion as a way of self-expression and preservation of cultural identity were discussed.


In the master class section, Turkmen craftsmen share their skills, demonstrating the art of felting from camel wool, hand-painting silk and creating other handicrafts.
