On October 3, President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhammedgeldi Ayazov, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Yerevan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of state conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the esteemed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 34th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan.
The President of Armenia emphasized the high level of Turkmen-Armenian relations and noted that he has pleasant impressions of his visits to Turkmenistan. He also highlighted the successful holding of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which took place in August of çurrent year in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza”.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation are important areas of intergovernmental dialogue.
In turn, Ambassador M. Ayazov conveyed warm greetings to the head of state from the estemeed President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
It was noted that in recent years, relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia have reached a qualitatively new level largely due to the mutual visits at high and the highest levels.
The President of the Republic of Armenia expressed his gratitude to Ambassador M. Ayazov for his personal contribution to the development of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia and wished him success in his future endeavours.
