Following the Turkmen-Kazakh negotiations in Astana, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the highest state order of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the “Altyn Kyran” (Golden Eagle).
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented the award. The Kazakh leader noted Berdimuhamedov’s personal contribution to strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership between the countries.
According to the Decree of the President of Kazakhstan, the order was awarded for the development of interstate relations and contribution to bringing the peoples of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan closer together.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed his gratitude for the award as a sign of respect for the people of Turkmenistan and confirmation of the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
