30 aftershocks of 2-5 points were recorded in Kamchatka
The department indicated that a strong earthquake occurred in Kamchatka on the morning of July 30.
“This is the strongest earthquake in the Kamchatka seismic focal zone since 1952. The magnitude, according to various estimates, reaches 8.7. This is certainly an outstanding event,” the report noted.
According to the department, the intensity of the tremors in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was at least 6 points.
