The Football Federation of Turkmenistan not only develops football but also systematically improves the qualifications of referees officiating matches at various levels.
Recently, the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, in collaboration with the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, launched a program to train and prepare young referees.
The program is being implemented at the institute’s academic building. Around 30 students who have chosen the refereeing career are participating. They are taught the intricacies of refereeing by Charymyrat Gurbanov, head of the FFT refereeing department; Vadim Baratov, a specialist with the Futsal Federation; and Kakabay Seidov, senior lecturer at the institute and international referee.
Upon successful completion of their training, young specialists will have the opportunity to officiate matches of the National Football Championship, the National Cup, and the Turkmenistan Futsal Super League.
