The “Galkynyş” National Equestrian Games Group received international certificates from the World Circus Federation and the European Circus Association. The awards were given for their contribution to the development of circus arts. The ceremony was held as part of the 48th International Festival of Circus Arts in Monte-Carlo, according to the turkmenistan.gov.tm.
The festival took place from January 16 to 25 in the Principality of Monaco. Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan Serdar Pygyyev, the coach and director of the “Galkynyş” Group of the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, and Serdar Gurbangulyev, the general director of the State Circus of Turkmenistan, attended the event as guests of honor.
The International Festival of Circus Arts in Monte-Carlo has been held since 1974 and is considered one of the largest in the world. Its goal is to support circus arts and develop international cultural ties.
In 2025, the “Galkynyş” Group successfully performed at the 47th festival and received the Grand Prix and special awards. To mark the occasion, celebrations were held in the city of Arkadag, during which the group received cash awards on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The “Galkynyş” National Equestrian Group was founded in 2007. The group regularly represents Turkmenistan at international festivals and has received a number of prestigious awards, including the Grand Prix at the IDOL World Circus Arts Festival in Moscow, as well as international circus festivals in Italy, China, and other countries.
Receiving international certificates in Monte Carlo further confirms the recognition of the achievements of Turkmen circus arts on the global stage.
