Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Ruzbehani held a press conference on the events taking place in his country.
At a press briefing with the participation of representatives of the mass media, the Iranian Ambassador Ruzbehani provided information about the developments taking place in his country.
The diplomat expressed his gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow for their great efforts to ensure the safe return of foreign citizens in Iran to their homeland during the events in the Middle East.
The Ambassador also noted that they were pleased that the Turkmen side addressed the Iranian people, especially children, and sent a humanitarian cargo on behalf of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.
Ali Mojtaba Ruzbehani noted that the border between Turkmenistan and Iran remains a border of friendship and cooperation, and noted that currently 4 customs posts on the borders of the two countries continue to operate normally, and opportunities are being created for the transportation of goods from there.
The Ambassador noted the importance of the transit opportunities of Iran and Turkmenistan and noted that the transportation of goods from these places to various regions of the world is economically beneficial.
During the press conference, representatives of the media asked the ambassador questions of interest. The Iranian ambassador, in turn, answered these questions and noted that his country is always open to cooperation with regional and neighboring countries and is committed to strengthening relations with these countries on a regular basis.
