The Turkmenistan national football team will take to the field in green kits for their 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifying match against Sri Lanka.
The Group D match between the Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka national teams will take place tomorrow, October 14, at the 10,000-seat Arkadag Stadium in Arkadag. Kickoffa is at 6:45 PM Ashgabat time.
In anticipation of this match, a traditional pre-match meeting was held today, October 13, with representatives from FIFA, the Asian Football Confederation, the national teams, the organizing committee, and relevant departments.
At the meeting ahead of tomorrow’s match, organizational matters were discussed and the colors of the participating teams were determined. The Turkmenistan national team will take to the field in green, while the Sri Lankan national team will wear white.
According to the draw, Turkmenistan is in Group D with Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and Sri Lanka.
As a reminder, after three qualifying matches, Turkmenistan, Thailand, and Sri Lanka are tied for first place in the standings with six points.
