The Turkmenistan U-17 national team will participate in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Championship, which will be held in Tashkent from April 4 to 14, 2026, according to the country’s International Information Center.
All matches will be held at the Dustlik Stadium. The tournament will bring together teams from Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Players born on or after January 1, 2010, will participate.
The championship will provide an opportunity for young footballers to gain international experience. Participation in it is seen as a preparation stage for continental and world-class qualifying tournaments.
The Turkmenistan national team’s coaching staff will use the tournament to evaluate its reserves and test tactical solutions in a competitive environment. The organizers will publish the match schedule soon.
The competition in Tashkent is expected to become a notable event in the spring sports calendar and attract the attention of experts.
