On October 17, at a government meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on the significant success of Turkmen diplomacy at the UN.
The Avaza Political Declaration, adopted following the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC-3), received international recognition: on October 14, 2025, the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted it as a resolution.
The declaration enshrines measures for the development of vulnerable countries, including science, education, innovation, sustainable infrastructure, international trade, climate action, and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The adoption of the resolution highlights Turkmenistan’s contribution to international cooperation and the advancement of the global sustainable development agenda.
