The results of the hackathon “Etut.developer” held among students at the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan have been summarized.
The event was held at the Oguz Khan Scientific and Technological Center of the university. One team from each of 15 higher educational institutions of the country took part in it.
During the hackathon, participants were invited to present their innovative ideas and designs aimed at creating unique versions of the “Etut.developer” educational website and ensuring its cybersecurity.
The teams’ IT solutions were evaluated according to such criteria as the website’s efficiency and activity indicators, ease of use, and the quality of information storage.
According to the results of the competition, the first place was awarded to the teams of the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan and the International University for the Humanities and Development.
Students of the Turkmen Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction shared the second place.
The third place went to student groups from the Yagshigeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, the Border Institute of Turkmenistan, and the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan. The Hackathon was held to identify and support young talents, improve the quality of students’ professional training, develop their creative and innovative abilities, analytical thinking, interest in their future profession, as well as to develop their skills in teamwork, developing IT products for various systems and functions, and ensuring their security.
