There are almost 53 million passenger cars in Russia, over the past ten years the number of cars in the country has increased by 8.7 million, according to statistics available to RIA Novosti.
According to data for 2024, there are more than 52.9 million passenger cars in the country, over 49.5 million of which are owned by citizens.
The number of vehicles of this type increases every year. Thus, in 2023 there were 51.5 million passenger cars (of which 48.5 million were owned by citizens), in 2022 – 50.6 million (of which 47.8 million were owned by citizens).
