The first module of the Category B coach-training course, organized by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan jointly with the Asian Football Confederation, is currently underway.
The training is being held at the Kopetdag Stadium in Ashgabat, with 24 participants. The first module will run until January 11. The second module is scheduled for the end of this month, and the third will take place in February of this year.
FIFA and Turkmenistan Football Federation instructor Rovshen Meredov leads the courses. His assistant is local specialist Boris Borovik.
The training program includes theoretical and practical classes. Upon completion of the course, participants for training will take final exams. Who successfully pass the assessment will receive a Category B trainer certificate.
Possession of a Category “B” certificate entitles one to work as an assistant coach in teams of the Turkmenistan Premier League, as well as to coach youth and junior teams of players over 12 years of age.
