US President Donald Trump has announced the launch of a government website called TrumpRx. Through this platform, Americans will be able to buy medicines at more affordable prices.
As is known, the medicines are not sold directly on the site. However, users can find prescription drugs there and find out how much they can save when buying them. To buy a medicine at a lower price, you need to download a special coupon and present it at one of the partner pharmacies. The portal also provides the opportunity to buy the medicine directly from the manufacturer.
At the time of its launch, it was possible to find about 40 medicines there, including drugs for weight loss. Several US pharmaceutical companies have already agreed to offer their products at a discount through the TrumpRx website.
The US is considered one of the most expensive markets in the world for pharmaceutical trade. In European and Asian countries, the pharmaceutical market is usually more strictly regulated and there are special agreements on maximum prices.
