Nineteen projects involving Turkish companies worth approximately 10 billion dollars are being implemented in Turkmenistan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced following his visit to Ashgabat and participation in the International Forum on Peace and Trust, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
He noted that since Turkmenistan’s independence, Turkish companies have invested approximately 55 billion dollars in projects in the country. According to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkmenistan is a key destination for Turkish businesses in large-scale infrastructure and investment projects.
The Turkish President announced plans to increase bilateral trade to 5 billion dollars, emphasizing the potential for further expansion of cooperation. In 2024, trade between the countries amounted to 2.17 billion dollars.
