The World Forum of Women Entrepreneurs, organized under the patronage of the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, was held in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, from August 25 to 26.
The event was attended by over 200 representatives from 25 countries, including Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen delegation included well-known representatives of women’s entrepreneurship in the country. Among them: Aina Durdylyeva, founder and director of the private enterprise Mähirli zenan, member of the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan. And Aykhan Rejepova, head of the shoe production Gerçek, chairperson of the Center for Business Women at the Mary branch of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan; Jennet Agayeva, designer, director of the private enterprise Jennet tagty, head of the Embroidery Center at the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan, member of the Central Council of the organization.
The forum, under the motto “Inspire – Influence – Invest”, focuses on expanding women’s participation in the economy, investment and digital transformation of business. The program included panel discussions, seminars, B2B meetings, and an exhibition and fair of products by women entrepreneurs, where more than 140 small and medium-sized companies were represented.
The participation of the Turkmen delegation in this international event emphasizes Turkmenistan’s active position in supporting women and developing the women’s movement. Turkmenistan pays great attention to the empowerment of women, which is reflected in legislation and public policy. Women occupy key positions in government bodies, participate in foreign policy, and make a significant contribution to economic development.
