The Turkmenistan national kickboxing team won 14 medals at the 1st Thailand Kickboxing World Cup 2025 tournament held in Bangkok. This was reported by the Kickboxing Federation of Turkmenistan.
The competition, held from 7th to 12th of April under the auspices of the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO), brought together about 800 athletes from almost 40 countries. Kickboxers competed in the disciplines of «Full Contact», «Low Kick», «K-1», «Kick Light», «Light Contact» and «Point Fighting».
Our country was represented by 13 athletes under the leadership of the head coach of the national kickboxing team of Turkmenistan Orazmuhammet Komekov.
As a result, our kickboxers managed to win 7 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals at these competitions. In the team competition they took 8th place.

• Kirill Voyevodin (up to 57 kg, Low-kick)
• Hangeldi Atabayev (up to 51 kg, Low-kick)

• Guvanch Babayev (up to 51 kg, K-1)
• Muhammetali Orazmuhammedov (up to 37 kg, Creative form)
Silver medals:
• Orazmuhammet Komekov (up to 91 kg, K-1)
• Rashit Geldimammedov (up to 63.5 kg, K-1)
• Yhlas Bayev (up to 60 kg, Low-kick)
• Muhammetali Orazmuhammedov (up to 37 kg, Musical form)
Bronze medals
• Agamyrat Amangeldiyev (up to 60 kg, Full contact)
• Geldimuhammet Hojalyyev (up to 81 kg, Low-kick)
• Muhammetali Orazmuhammedov (up to 37 kg, Point fighting)
Kickboxing is one of the popular sports in our country. Currently, more than 5,000 athletes are involved in this martial art. The number of medals won by Turkmen kickboxers at international competitions increases every year.
