On March 24, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Bucharest, bringing together representatives of the two countries in the fields of equestrian sports and horse breeding. Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Annayev discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation and exchanging experiences with the President of the Romanian Equestrian Federation, Marilena Mladin, according to the online newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age.”
The participants paid special attention to the Akhal-Teke horse breed—the national symbol of Turkmenistan and a global cultural treasure. The Turkmen side described its comprehensive efforts to develop the industry: from modern equestrian complexes and the activities of the Turkmenatlary State Association to the work of the Aba Annayev International Horse Breeding Academy.
A separate topic of discussion was the international events held as part of the National Turkmen Horse Festival, which have already become a platform for professional and scientific exchange among experts from different countries.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to actively develop practical cooperation: implementing joint projects and exchanging knowledge and experience.
