Recently, Turkmen students excelled at the 19th South Eastern European Mathematical Olympiad for University Students “SEEMOUS-2025,” held from March 2 to 10 in Korca, Republic of Albania. The Olympiad featured over 150 students from 35 higher education institutions in Turkmenistan, Albania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Greece, and North Macedonia.
Turkmen teams from the International University for the Humanities and Development, Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, Yagshygeli Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, and Turkmen State Energy Institute participated.
Students from Turkmen higher education institutions demonstrated exceptional performance, securing a total of 26 medals: 3 gold, 10 silver, and 13 bronze in the individual competition. Medine Odayeva, a student from the International University for the Humanities and Development, received the Olympiad’s Grand prix.
On March 12, an awarding ceremony was held on the conference hall at the International University for the Humanities and Development in honor of the winners. During the ceremony, gifts from Esteemed President of Turkmenistan and the Magtymguly Youth Organization presented to the teachers and medal-winning students. These achievements in the “International Year of Peace and Trust” inspire the nation’s youth to pursue further success. In this era, Turkmenistan is confidently advancing on the global scientific and educational stage, enriching its education system with contemporary content. The award ceremony participants expressed their deepest gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, and Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for the opportunities provided to study, learn, create, and participate in such international competitions.
