From July 6 to 17, one teacher and ten students from the Faculty of Hydromelioration, along with one teacher and ten students from the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization, both from the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, are continuing their internship at the Tashkent Institute of Engineers of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization in Uzbekistan. This internship is organized within the framework of an Agreement on Cooperation signed between the two universities on April 23, 2018.
Turkmen students participating in the internship were warmly welcomed in Uzbekistan, and a rich educational and cultural program was prepared for them. The main goal of this program is to consolidate students’ theoretical knowledge through practical application, facilitate the exchange of mutual experience, and further strengthen friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries.
Students and their supervising teachers were introduced to the history and current activities of the Tashkent Institute of Engineers of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization, as well as its contribution to the development of the country’s agriculture. They visited the educational buildings, laboratories, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities of the partner higher education institution, familiarizing themselves with the available opportunities. They also toured the museum, which showcases the history of the institute and the country’s agriculture, including the evolution of tractors and agricultural machinery. Ilhom Begmatov, a scientist and professor at the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers—an active participant in national events and scientific and educational competitions—along with other teachers, shared their theoretical and practical experience in irrigation, mechanization, and agricultural engineering.
Our compatriots also visited various scientific and educational institutions, rural and water management facilities, and historical and cultural monuments in Tashkent. As part of the visit, they learned about the modern digital system of “Smart Solutions System” Limited Liability Company, which is used for organizing student training and monitoring its results. During the internship, Uzbek specialists discussed the equipment used in the country’s water industry, “smart” technologies, and water meters.
It is worth noting that from June 25 to July 4 of this year, students from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers of the Republic of Uzbekistan also underwent an internship at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University. Such internships are an effective means of fostering mutual experience exchange in the fields of agriculture and agricultural education within the framework of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
