Gadyr Orazberdyev and Selbi Kerimkulyeva, students from the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan, under the guidance of instructor Ogulnur Rozyeva, successfully competed in the international competition “World Youth Invention and Innovation Award (WYIIA 2025)” in Surabaya, Indonesia, from October 14 to 17, as reported by the turkmenistan.gv. tm.
They presented their research paper, “Development of Novel Inhibitors Against the 23S Gene of Clarithromycin-Resistant Helicobacter pylori Using In Silico and Artificial Intelligence.” In their study, the students used computer modeling and AI to create new drug formulations against bacteria that cause gastrointestinal diseases.
The project received high international recognition and was awarded a gold medal and the Semi Grand Award.
Turkmen students achieved this result among the strongest teams of young scientists from Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, South Korea, Japan, China, India, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Iran, and other countries.
