As part of the recent anniversary, tenth Caspian Media Forum, a meeting was held in the Astrakhan Region dedicated to strengthening ties between the region and Turkmenistan. Governor Igor Babushkin expressed gratitude to the country’s leadership for sending a delegation to this important event.
Babushkin emphasized that relations between the Astrakhan Region and Turkmenistan are based on long-standing friendship and are actively developing. Cooperation is especially noticeable in the trade sector, where last year trade turnover increased by 15%. This year, significant supplies have already been made, including 18 tons of fish products and wheat flour.
The Governor confirmed the region’s commitment to this partnership, declaring its readiness to make every effort to strengthen ties. In response, Editor-in-Chief of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan Rustam Mammedov thanked the host for the support and warm welcome.
