Turkmenistan and China have agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of high technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), as reported by the tdh.gov.tm.
The corresponding agreement was reached during a meeting between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and First Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Ding Xuexiang.
During the talks, the head of state outlined specific proposals for developing cooperation in this area. They are based on the use of the potential of Turkmenistan’s leading scientific and educational centers, such as the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences, the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology, and the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics.
The parties also discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations, noting that one of their priority vectors is cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Within its framework, Turkmen students study at universities in China, and a number of higher educational institutions in Turkmenistan are expanding the teaching of the Chinese language. The Turkmen side confirmed its focus on further expanding cooperation in science, education, and culture.
