The implementation of joint infrastructure projects was discussed on February 25, during a meeting between Bayram Bayramov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United Arab Emirates, and Tariq Al-Falahi, Executive Director of International Relations at Etihad Rail, as reported by the uae.tmembassy.gov.tm.
These projects are aimed at strengthening transport connectivity between Central and South Asia.
Emphasizing the strategic nature of the partnership, the meeting participants discussed the coordination of technical interactions, as well as the development of promising roadmaps for further cooperation.
The focus was on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the railway authorities of Turkmenistan and the UAE, signed at the Global Rail 2025 international exhibition, held in Abu Dhabi in October 2025.
Following the meeting, a commitment to continue expert consultations was confirmed.
