Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi and Director of the Caspian Sea Institute of Turkmenistan Myrat Atajanov discussed preparations for the 7th Caspian Summit. It is scheduled for the summer of 2026 in Tehran, according to IRNA.
The parties discussed coordination ahead of the summit and possible joint regional initiatives. Gharibabadi emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and strengthening cooperation between the Caspian states.
The 6th Caspian Summit was held on June 29, 2022, in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
