A delegation of the Wholesale Distribution Center (WDC) of Aktau, Mangistau Region, Kazakhstan, visited Turkmenistan to strengthen trade ties in the agricultural sector between the two countries. This was reported by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkmenistan.
The visit, organized with the support of the Embassy, was aimed at establishing strong business contacts between Kazakh and Turkmen companies in the agro-industrial complex.
The Kazakh delegation, which included S. Kushmagambetov and R. Kismetov, was received by leading Turkmen agro-industrial enterprises Yigit, Mahmal and Miwe, specializing in the cultivation, processing and storage of fruits and vegetables.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan accompanied the visit to Turkmenistan Nurlan Nogayev, who was acquainted with the fruit and vegetable plantations. The delegation inspected a variety of crops, including apples, pears, persimmons, nectarines, plums, peaches and almonds, as well as fields of tomatoes, onions and other vegetables.
The parties agreed on seasonal deliveries of Turkmen agricultural products to WDC Aktau. Turkmen partners were invited to Kazakhstan for a more detailed study of the center’s logistics and distribution systems.
