On August 25, a meeting with a delegation of Pakistani businessmen headed by the former Minister of Health of Balochistan and now the head of the group of the Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mir Naveed Baloch was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad. In its presentation, the Turkmen side spoke about the foreign policy strategy of neutral Turkmenistan, the results of the 3rd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, and emphasized the importance of the TAPI gas pipeline and TAP power transmission line projects for sustainable energy supply to Pakistan.
The parties discussed the prospects for trade, economic and logistical cooperation, including cooperation between the ports of Turkmenbashi and Gwadar.
The Pakistani side expressed interest in expanding partnership in the fields of energy, transport and logistics and proposed using the potential of the Gwadar port.
In conclusion, the meeting participants agreed to develop contacts between the business communities.
