On November 18, a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Oguljennet Berdiliyeva, Chairperson of the National Trade Union Center, held talks in Geneva with the leadership of the International Labor Organization (ILO), according to the country’s ILO.
The discussion focused on developing cooperation, implementing international labor standards, and modernizing labor legislation. Notably, Turkmenistan was the first country met by Oliver Röpke, the new Director of the ILO Bureau for Workers’ Affairs.
During the visit, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing productive cooperation to strengthen the protection of labor rights and ensure decent working conditions.
