Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the plenary session of the forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum” called on Islamic countries to form a single energy, transport and technological belt of Eurasia, linking the continent from the Asia-Pacific region to the Middle East and Europe. This was reported by the news agency “Turkmenistan: today”.
“Turkmenistan’s approach to international economic cooperation is based on the priority of energy, transport, logistics and technology spheres. In this context, I believe that Islamic countries are called upon to form a single energy, transport and technological belt of Eurasia, linking the continent from the Asia-Pacific region to the Middle East and Europe,” said the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, the implementation of this concept will ensure the shortest routes for the delivery of energy resources, goods and services, uniting vast territories, industrial and raw material centers.
Strategically, such a belt could become a bridge of global interaction and have a positive impact on trade and tariff policy and the general state of the global economy.
