The National Flag of Turkmenistan was unfurled at the summit of Mount Agri (Ağrı Dağı)—the highest point in Türkiye—by members of the Arkadag Football Club fan club expedition.
The ascent took place from March 1 to 6, with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Türkiye. Turkmen student and mountaineer Agadzhan Ovlyakulyev led the expedition.
At the top of Mount Agri, at an altitude of 5,137 meters, the participants unfurled the State Flag of Turkmenistan, the emblem of the Arkadag Football Club, and the 2026 year logo.
This action served as a symbolic expression of respect for national values and sporting achievements.
The initiative was dedicated to the 2026-year motto: “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan—Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses: and the upcoming 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.
With the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan and at the initiative of Turkmen students studying at Turkish universities, fan clubs for the Arkadag Football Club have also been established in the cities of Ankara and Antalya.
