On March 12, the decisive match of the Turkmenistan Football Federation Cup took place, as a result of which the Arkadag team won the tournament’s main trophy for the second year in a row.
In the final match, held on the central field of the multifunctional stadium “Ashgabat” in the capital of the country, the team “Arkadag” confidently defeated “Shagadam” with a score of 2:0.
In the match for third place, the Ahal team defeated Ashgabat with a score of 2:0.
After the matches, a ceremony was held to award the winners and runners-up.
It should be noted that eight teams took part in the Turkmenistan Football Federation Cup: Arkadag (Arkadag city), Ahal (Anau, Ahal province), Shagadam (Turkmenbashi, Balkan province), Merv (Mary, Mary province), Ashgabat (Ashgabat city), Nebitchi (Balkanabad, Balkan province), Kopetdag (Ashgabat city), as well as the Turkmenistan U20 national team.
Following the draw, the teams Kopetdag, Ahal, Shagadam, and Nebitchi were placed in Group A, while the U-20 teams Arkadag, Ashgabat, and Merv were placed in Group B. In the preliminary round, the participants were divided into two groups. The teams that finished first and second in their groups advanced to the tournament semifinals. The teams that finished third and fourth played matches for 5th-6th and 7th-8th places.
All Federation Cup matches were held on the central field of the multifunctional Ashgabat Stadium in the capital of Turkmenistan.
