The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan has announced the start of accepting applications for study at leading universities in the People’s Republic of China and Hungary for the 2026/2027 academic year, according to the country’s International Information Center.
Applications will be accepted from December 1 to 15, 2025, at the International University of Humanities and Development (IUHD) in Ashgabat.
Chinese universities invite applicants aged 18 to 25 with a general secondary education and English language proficiency. In addition to the required documents, applicants must provide results from international examinations such as the SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, or HSK, as well as a scholarship certificate from the Chinese government.
Applicants to Hungarian educational institutions have similar requirements, with the exception of the CSCA exam, which is not required. Applications are accepted from graduates of the 2025/2026 academic year who will have turned 18 years old by August 31, 2026.
Admission to study in both countries will be based on academic examinations. Particular attention will be given to participants and winners of international Olympiads and state competitions.
