At the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue Summit in Tokyo, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov outlined priorities for interregional cooperation. He noted that the parties’ accumulated potential requires a transition to the implementation of major strategic projects.
The head of state noted that the Central Asian countries have significant opportunities for cooperation with Japan. He identified leveraging the strengths of each Dialogue participant to achieve common goals as a key task for the near future.
The President of Turkmenistan highlighted clean energy as a promising area of cooperation. Turkmenistan expressed interest in Japanese initiatives in sustainable development and “green transformation.”
Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of cooperation with Japan in green energy for Turkmenistan, as a major energy resource holder.
The Central Asia + Japan Dialogue was described as a platform for developing trade and economic ties and strengthening regional security. Turkmenistan’s participation in the summit confirmed its commitment to international cooperation and environmental responsibility.
