An important stage of digital transformation has started in Turkmenistan — an agreement on the creation of an Interdepartmental System of Electronic Data Exchange has been signed between the Ministry of Communications and the UN Development Program. The country’s MIC. reported this.
The project is aimed at simplifying and accelerating interaction between government agencies. 10 ministries and departments have already been connected, and 12 electronic government services have been integrated through the X-Road platform — an international technology that allows for the safe and fast transfer of information between different structures.
Security servers have been installed to protect information, and employees are being trained in international IT standards. 75 specialists have already improved their skills in courses on cybersecurity, programming, network technologies, and Cisco platforms.
This project is an important step towards the creation of an “Electronic Government” system in Turkmenistan. It allows government agencies to work faster, reduce paperwork, and citizens to receive services promptly and safely. In the future, it is planned to expand digital services and further simplify interaction between departments.
Digitalization of public services is not only about technology. It is about convenience, security and efficiency, which is already beginning to change everyday life in the country.
