Universities in Central Asian countries held a series of working meetings to introduce the “Circular Economy and Sustainable Development” course into their curricula.
The events were part of the international project “Development of Innovative Curricula and Modules on the Circular Economy and Sustainable Development.” The Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management and the Turkmen State Institute of Finance participated.
The sessions were hosted by partner universities: Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz (Kazakhstan), Westminster International University in Tashkent and the University of Central Asia (Uzbekistan), and the Tajik State University of Commerce and the Tajik Technical University (Tajikistan). The universities presented interim results of implementing the courses and discussed achievements and prospects for improving the modules.
Turkmenistan was represented by Arslan Matkarimov, lecturer in the Digital Economy Department at TSIEU, Shohrat Byashimov, senior lecturer in the Finance Department at TGIF, and Rustam Gadzhiev, a member of the Academy of Sciences.
The final stage was devoted to exchanging proposals and developing recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the project and developing educational programs on the circular economy in the region.
